warehouse team member

  • Handle receiving, shipping, packing, distribution and storage of all freight, product, and supplies
  • Receipt of inventory (including returns of defective parts) documented and forwarded to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Proper storage of skids and other shipping supplies/materials
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and office as instructed
    • Proper disposal of crates and packaging as necessary
  • Process sales orders and ship spare parts according to the established procedures, FIFO principal and in adherence of delivery schedules
    • Complete order paperwork including but not limited to signed will call documents and order verification checklist
  • Follow all government safety and regulatory policies
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels and report discrepancies immediately
  • Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials
  • Conduct weekly spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, and equipment
  • Report lost or damaged shipments and other matters to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Process after hours emergency orders based on alternating on call schedule (currently not implemented but will need to be)
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space requirements
  • Adhere to organizations policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate stock, in good condition and according to FIFO
  • Loading and unloading operations in the inventory
  • Adhere to the correct and safe method of loading and unloading goods as defined by OSHA
  • Record all goods entering and leaving the inventory
  • Checking the condition of the goods when they arrive, note and report any kind of damage
  • Adhere to the established daily, weekly and monthly procedures
  • Work according to ISO processes and procedure
  • Good knowledge of warehouse process and its documentation
  • Good conflict resolution skills, diplomacy and tact
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Requires a lot of physical stamina due to the loading and unloading work
    • Ability to properly execute manual lifting of 50 pounds
  • High level of proficiency operating power tools and adhering to necessary safety measures associated with their useand storage
  • Exposure to a noisy environment and outside weather conditions
  • Ability to work with some supervision
  • Self-Starter, willing to work-through and seek answers to ongoing, new requirements
  • Good working knowledge of FedEx shipping software as well as all standard MS office products(Outlook, Excel and Word), QuickBooks is a plus

High school diploma, forklift certification and at least 2 years’ experience in the areas of warehousing, transportation and inventory control.
